On the training of lay magistrates and justices of the peace of workers of the Republic of Tatarstan

According to the requirements of the law of the Republic of Tatarstan "on magistrates of Republic Tatarstan» justices raise their qualifications at least once every three years. A huge flow of cases coming before the magistrates, testifies to the growing confidence of the judiciary. The growing pressure on magistrates, which creates certain difficulties in administration of Justice, the question of training of magistrates and justices of the peace becomes extremely important.
In accordance with its competences, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, twice a year (spring and fall) organizes refresher courses for magistrates and justices of the peace of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan branch of the Russian Academy of Justice.
The spring flood of trainees this year, which took place from April 2-10 at the Faculty of improvement of professional skill and retraining of judges consisted of 31 magistrate and 17 employees of their unit.
Experience in organization of refresher courses for judges and judicial officers indicates that the theoretical material and practical exercises shall be present in equal measure. This rule is taken into account in drawing up the programme of training courses. To outlining the material invited professors, judges, prosecutors, experts of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Department of Management in the Republic of Tatarstan. Traditionally, study concludes the final certification with the awarding of certificates of completion of continuing education short courses.
