An employee of the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan successfully performed at the XXX Open Cup of Russia in the Masters swimming category

Semyon Smetanin, a leading consultant of the Ministry of Justice, took part in the XXX anniversary XXX Open Cup of Russia in the Masters swimming category.

The competition, which was attended by more than 1100 professionals and amateur swimmers from all over Russia, was held in Kazan from November 9 to 12.

During the three days of the competition Semyon overcame 3 distances: 400 m complex swimming, 200 m breaststroke and 50 m freestyle personally. In addition, as a member of the Kasatka Sports Union, he swam 50 meters freestyle in 25.66 seconds, thus improving his last year's result by 1.1 seconds.

"I participate in the Spartakiade of Civil Servants every year as part of the Ministry of Justice team. Such sporting events as the Open Cup of Russia are a great help to keep in good shape and perform well with colleagues in other competitions," says Semyon Smetanin.
