12 December 2023, Tuesday

Within the framework of the state program "Implementation of anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2015-2025" under the chairmanship of Anas Gataullin, a meeting of the Public Council at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan was held, which summarized the results of the work carried out and outlined relevant tasks for the next year.

Diana Sitchanova, responsible for the work on prevention of corruption and other offenses, speaking with a report, noted that the Ministry carries out systematic work on the implementation of anti-corruption policy, which is aimed at reducing the causes and conditions that give rise to corruption, and the involvement of employees of the Ministry of Justice in the implementation of anti-corruption policy.

Ainur Galimov, First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, made a report and noted that the most important element of the anti-corruption policy is an independent anti-corruption expertise. Every year the Republic of Tatarstan holds an anti-corruption expertise contest for independent experts.

In 2023, 2 applications were submitted for participation in the contest. Due to the absence of contestants who scored a sum of points greater than the product of 15 points and the number of members of the Competition Commission, based on paragraph 4.13 of the Competition Regulations, the Commission decided not to award the prize in 2023.

In 2024, one of the areas of work of the Ministry is to strengthen cooperation with experts in conducting independent anti-corruption expertise, including additional information and awareness-raising activities on participation and conditions of the competition.

More details on the activities of the Public Council can be found on the official website of the Ministry in the subsection "Public Council under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan" of the section "About the Ministry".
