Additional guarantees for the social support of orphans and children left without parental care were discussed at a meeting of the Expert Council in the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan

Today, the Ministry of Justice, chaired by Justice Minister Rustem Zagidullin, held a meeting of the Expert Council of the Interdepartmental Coordinating Committee on Legal Issues.

The members of the Expert Council considered a draft law concerning amendments to the republican laws «On providing housing for orphans and children left without parental care» and «On targeted social support for the population in the Republic of Tatarstan». The draft law was developed on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The draft law establishes for persons who belonged to the category of orphans and children left without parental care, persons from among orphans and children left without parental care, and have reached the age of 23, an additional guarantee of the right to housing in the form of providing payments for the purchase of a well-maintained residential building at the expense of the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan premises in the property or for the full repayment of a residential mortgage loan (loan).

Following the discussion, the bill was supported and will be sent to the Interdepartmental Coordinating Committee on Legal Issues for consideration.

The meeting also reviewed and approved the draft law of the Republic of Tatarstan «On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan «On the regulation of certain issues in the field of volunteerism and on Amendments to certain Legislative acts of the Republic of Tatarstan», aimed at bringing the republican law into line with federal legislation.
