Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan: 37 thousand municipal acts have been adjusted using information technologies

13 September 2024, Friday

Information technologies are actively used in the rule-making activities of public authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan. Since 2018, the automated information system «Codex» has been introduced into the work on monitoring legislation.

The system automatically identifies contradictions and gaps in legal regulation. The system's recommendations allow for targeted responses to changes in federal and regional legislation.

The work is carried out thanks to the support of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and within the framework of the state program «Development of Justice in the Republic of Tatarstan».

The results of work in the system of local government bodies of the republic were reviewed at a meeting at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Mukharryam Ibyatov.

«In total, during the period of use, the system has identified inconsistencies with the legislation in more than 43 thousand acts of local government bodies. As of September 1, inconsistencies have been eliminated in 37 thousand acts or 85%», - said Raliya Garifullina, head of the department of the Ministry, in her report.

Mukharryam Ibyatov discussed the issues of amending municipal acts in the feedback mode with representatives of the Agryz, Bugulma, Menzelinsky, Sabinsky municipal districts

«More than 3 thousand federal and republican regulatory legal acts come into force every year. «Codex» system is an indispensable assistant in tracking these changes. As part of the legal and methodological support for local governments, the Ministry of Justice develops exemplary (model) municipal acts, holds seminars, meetings, video receptions on current legal topics, internships, and off-site events», - the Deputy Minister noted.
