In Tatarstan, cases of telephone fraud have become more frequent, when criminals call citizens and introduce themselves as employees of the offices of justices of the peace of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Unknown persons call participants in court proceedings and inform them about the postponement of the hearing or the readiness of the court decision. At the same time, they ask to provide a code from an SMS message, which is supposedly necessary to confirm identity or receive notification of the time and place of the trial. In fact, this code is the code for changing the login and password for the personal account on the Unified Portal of State Services of the Russian Federation (Gosuslugi).
Leading specialist of the Department of Organizational and Legal Support for the Activities of Justices of the Peace of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Yulia Mikhailova warns that employees of the court districts of justices of the peace will never ask to provide codes from SMS, account details, bank cards and other personal data. No financial issues are clarified by the employees of the offices of justices of the peace.
«Employees can call participants in the process to notify them of a court hearing, the readiness of documents, and to clarify organizational issues without asking for any codes or other confidential information», - Yulia Aleksandrovna emphasized.
If you have any doubts that the call or message you received really comes from employees of the justices of the peace, end the conversation and call back the phone numbers listed on the official Portal of Justices of the Peace of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Be vigilant and do not give confidential information to strangers over the phone!
