Minister of Justice Rustem Zagidullin took part in the annual «Marathon of good deeds», which is held as part of the decade dedicated to the International day of persons with disabilities. The event took place in the Yelabuga District of Tatarstan and is aimed at drawing public attention to the problems of people with disabilities and providing support to those who need it.
Speaking at the event, Rustem Zagidullin noted that about 280 thousand people with disabilities live in the republic. He emphasized that one of the priority tasks is to create equal conditions for this category of citizens, including accessibility of movement, education, work and self-realization, as well as participation in public and political life.
The Minister expressed pride in the achievements of people with disabilities. «Today we are proud of the successes of outstanding athletes, musicians, singers, scientists and teachers with disabilities», - he added. «With these successes, you prove that your possibilities are limitless».
In the final part of his speech, Rustem Ildusovich wished all those present that they would meet only kind and sympathetic people on their way.
