The participants of the meeting also considered important issues of interaction between the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan and public authorities and civil society institutions.

The State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan, subordinate to the Ministry of Justice, is the main institution providing free legal assistance to the population of the republic. The Bureau actively interacts with the Commissioner for Human Rights within the framework of a cooperation agreement to provide legal support to residents of the republic.

During 2024, 11 receptions were organized, at which 82 people were received via videoconferencing. Most often, large families, parents and relatives of participants in a special military operation, pensioners and low-income citizens sought help.

«The main issues concerned housing disputes, health conditions, passing a military medical commission and assigning pensions. All those who applied were provided with the necessary legal support in the form of oral and written consultations. Constructive cooperation in providing the population with free legal assistance is planned to continue in 2025», - the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan noted.
