Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan: In recent years, there have been no reports of manifestations of corruption at the judicial precincts of magistrates of the Republic of Tatarstan

Justice is administered in the Republic by 190 justices of the peace, distributed by judicial districts. Justices of the peace are independent and subject only to the Constitution and the law. The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan controls the work of the apparatuses of justices of the peace in terms of logistical, organizational, legal and financial support. This was reminded by Marat Nizamiev, Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, in an interview on Radio Tatarstan.

According to the Deputy Minister, in 2024, 1,437 appeals related to the activity of the apparatuses of justices of the peace were received, while in 2023 their number was 431. «Most of these appeals came from collection organizations. At the same time, most of the complaints received were recognized as unfounded», - he explained.

Separately, Marat Nizamiev emphasized the direction of anti-corruption. He noted that citizens can apply to the Ministry with information about the facts of corruption in the activities of employees of the apparatuses of justices of the peace of the peace of the Republic of Tatarstan.

He also said that on the official website of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan in the subsection «Public Opinion Poll, Questionnaire» of the section «Anti-Corruption» an anonymous sociological survey on corruption in the offices of justices of the peace of the Republic of Tatarstan is conducted. In 2024, more than 3 thousand people took part in the survey. Over the past three years, there have been no reports of manifestations of corruption at the judicial precincts of justices of the peace.
