Check-list for parents: safety on playgrounds
Rules of operation. Every adult, coming with a child to the playground, first of all, should familiarize himself with the rules of use of its various elements. Many of them indicate the minimum age of a child for safe play.
Insurance of the child. It is worth distracting yourself for a minute, and a small child can get into a dangerous situation. Be sure to stay close to your baby as he or she explores new elements on the playground - slide, merry-go-round, swings. Help him and guide his actions.
Swings. Explain to your toddler that he should never get close to a swing. Injuries from a swing with another toddler on it can be very serious. It is far from always possible to stop the swing, so even noticing your child, preventing a collision will be very difficult.
Sandbox. Coming to a new playground with a baby who runs to play in the sandbox, be sure to inspect it for dangerous objects: glass, plastic, garbage.
Location of the playground. If the playground is located in the yard near the road, do not let your baby out of your sight for a second. Do not allow him to leave the boundaries of the playground. A toddler exploring the world may not notice a car, bicycle or scooter.
