The Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan joined the Victory Day celebrations
Today our big and beautiful country celebrates the main holiday - Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.
The staff of the Ministry took an active part in the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
Rustem Zagidullin, Minister of Justice of Tatarstan, visited the festive events held in the Elabuga district of the Republic and cordially congratulated the residents of the district on the great day.
In addition, he read out the address of Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, veterans of the front and home front workers: «For eight decades, the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the victors have carefully carried through the years the tribute of respect for the defenders of the Fatherland and love for their native land. We, the heirs of the Victory, will not allow to rewrite history and preserve for future generations the historical truth about the feat of arms and labor of our people».
In the address it is separately noted that the war passed through every family and every home. It is emphasized that more than half of the nearly 700 thousand soldiers of the republic, called to the front, laid down their heads in battle. Their names and feats will remain forever in the memory of descendants.
The Republic played a huge role not only on the front line, but also in the rear. Immediately after the beginning of the war, the factories of Tatarstan began to produce the necessary equipment and ammunition. The city of Kazan became the center of aviation industry, providing the army with combat aircraft. The factories produced shells, mines and anti-aircraft guns. The light industry supplied the front with military uniforms.
The Minister recalled that today the honor of defending the country is borne by our contemporaries - servicemen participating in a special military operation. The Republic supports them by providing the necessary assistance, inspired by the example of valor and patriotism of the veterans of the past.
The solemn events in the capital of Tatarstan started with the traditional ceremony of laying flowers at the Eternal Flame memorial in Victory Park. Then the employees of the Ministry took part in the procession of the «Immortal Regiment» action, marching in columns with portraits of their relatives-front-line soldiers.
