In Tatarstan, heads of municipalities highly appreciated the interaction with the Ministry of Justice of the republic
The final, fourth zonal meeting on topical issues of local self-government at the settlement level was held in the village of Staroye Drozhzhzhanoye. The event concluded a series of seminars for municipal servants, which were held in the Chistopol, Mamadysh, Sarmanovsky and Drozhzhzhanovsky districts over the past two weeks.
The format of zonal meetings is aimed at establishing a direct dialog between representatives of local self-government bodies and heads of state authorities of Tatarstan. Special attention at the meetings was paid to the issues of increasing business activity of the population in rural areas.
The second part of the seminar was devoted to the discussion of urgent tasks facing municipalities. The participants raised a wide range of issues, including construction and repair of intra-village roads, implementation of social grants for rural settlements, transportation issues. Special attention was also paid to legal aspects, such as the upcoming elections of Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and deputies of municipalities, as well as the organization of self-taxation of citizens.
Legal issues are one of the key areas of interaction between the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan and local self-government bodies. In this area, the Ministry provides legal and methodological support to municipalities: it sends information letters, methodological recommendations, reviews of legislative changes, as well as assists in the execution of delegated state powers and conducts training and field trips.
During the meetings, the heads of municipalities gave a positive assessment of the interaction with the Ministry of Justice. The participants of the meeting emphasized the efficiency of work in all areas of cooperation and stressed that the issues arising in the process of activities are promptly resolved in a working order.
