Sabantuy brings joy and unity: Rustem Zagidullin congratulated St. Petersburg on the people's holiday
The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in Sabantui celebrations in St. Petersburg! Sabantuy is a traditional holiday celebrated not only in Tatarstan, but also far beyond the borders of the Republic, uniting peoples and contributing to the strengthening of intercultural understanding and friendship.
On behalf of the State Council and the Government of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin read out the congratulatory address of Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, to the participants and guests of the event.
The address emphasizes the importance of labor traditions, hospitality and friendliness embodied in the holiday. Special attention is paid to the fact that regardless of the place of residence of Tatars, the hospitable maidan Sabantuy unites thousands of people of different nationalities and religions, forming a unique atmosphere of unity and harmony.
The manifestation of the best qualities of youth reflected in traditional competitions is noted: strength, agility, intelligence and readiness to become a reliable support for their family and homeland in any circumstances. «Thus, today the sons of the Tatar people side by side with representatives of various nationalities and religions defend our common spiritual and moral values in the Special Military Operation», - the text reads.
Concluding his speech, the Minister expressed his sincere wishes for good health, happiness, kindness and well-being to all those gathered.
In addition, Rustem Ildusovich presented state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the representatives of the cultural sphere of St. Petersburg, handed thanks from the leadership of Tatarstan and memorable gifts to the governors of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, as well as to the deputies of the legislative assemblies of the respective regions.
