The Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan reminds citizens of the responsibility for failure to pay administrative fines within the timeframes established by law. «An administrative fine, being the most common administrative sanction, performs preventive and compensatory functions», - the Ministry emphasized.

However, cases of citizens evading this obligation are not uncommon. The magistrate of judicial district № 1 in the Sabinsky judicial district of the republic considered the case of a resident who failed to pay an administrative fine for improper supervision of children within the timeframe established by law.

The judge indicated that the fine must be paid within 60 days from the date the ruling comes into force or from the date of expiration of the deferment or installment plan. The case notes that the woman was not granted a deferment or installment plan for paying the fine.

Failure to fulfill this obligation entails serious consequences. If the fine is not paid within the established time frame, the following measures may include a fine of double the amount of the unpaid sum, but not less than 1,000 rubles, as well as the possibility of administrative arrest for up to 15 days or compulsory work for up to 50 hours.

Having examined the evidence collected in the case, the magistrate, taking into account the nature of the offense, the absence of factors aggravating the degree of guilt, as well as a number of mitigating circumstances, decided to impose a new fine of 1,000 rubles on the woman.

«It is important to understand that timely payment of even minor fines allows you to avoid more serious legal consequences», - the Tatarstan Ministry of Justice noted.
