Anti-corruption issues were discussed at a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan

18 September 2025, Thursday

During a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, five key issues were discussed, including the results of monitoring the official websites of state and municipal bodies for compliance with anti-corruption legislation.

Meeting participants paid particular attention to the results of monitoring the official internet resources of the republican executive bodies and local government bodies of municipal districts and urban districts of Tatarstan for the first half of 2025.

«The monitoring revealed a number of systemic shortcomings in the information transparency of state and municipal bodies in the area of combating corruption. The most common problem remains the untimely updating of information in sections that require regular updating», - noted Yaroslav Shvets, Head of the Department of organization of rendering of free legal assistance and planning.

According to the monitoring data, the most common violations include the untimely posting of information on the review of corruption-related appeals, information on the implementation of anti-corruption programs, and materials on meetings of specialized commissions on compliance with requirements for official conduct and the resolution of conflicts of interest.

«It's important to understand that transparency and prompt updating of anti-corruption information is not just a formal requirement, but a necessary condition for effective public oversight and increasing public trust in government», - he emphasized.

At the meeting, it was also noted that many government agencies fail to promptly publish the results of anti-corruption assessments of draft regulations, information on anti-corruption policy implementation measures  and the results of surveys.

«In the second quarter of this year, the Republic's Ministry of Justice conducted significant methodological work. We updated recommendations for the placement and content of anti-corruption sections of official websites and sent them to all republican executive bodies and local governments», - Yaroslav Gennadievich said.

Following the meeting, the Public Council recommended strengthening oversight of the timely updating of anti-corruption sections of official websites and conducting additional training sessions for responsible employees.
