A system of free legal support for Special Military Operation veterans and families of fallen soldiers has been established at the Tatarstan branch of the «Defenders of the Fatherland» Foundation. It covers issues related to the provision of support measures and payments, as well as appealing decisions made by government bodies and officials. This is reported by the foundation's press service.
Special Military Operation veterans and their families can receive consultations from lawyers, specialists from the Military-Social Center, and social organizations through a «single window» system. Additionally, the foundation's branch hosts reception sessions with representatives of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Federal Bailiff Service, the Military Commissariat, and the Bar and Notary Chambers.
For example, every Thursday, lawyers from the State Legal Bureau of Tatarstan hold receptions at the «Defenders of the Fatherland» foundation, where they provide free consultations to Special Military Operation participants and their relatives.
Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin commented on the interaction between the State Legal Bureau and the branch of the «Defenders of the Fatherland» foundation.
«In the republic, effective interagency cooperation has been established among all entities providing free legal aid. One specific example of such support is the activity of the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan, which regularly organizes legal support receptions for servicemen at the branch of the «Defenders of the Fatherland» foundation», - noted the minister.
As reported by Rustem Zagidullin, as part of this work in the first half of 2026, lawyers from the State Legal Bureau conducted 23 receptions, during which more than 250 servicemen and their family members received qualified legal assistance.
The minister expressed confidence that, thanks to fruitful interaction with the «Defenders of the Fatherland» foundation, this work will continue and cooperation will be strengthened.
