Day of the free legal assistance in a decade of elder people

October 9, 2014 under the project of the Association of Lawyers of Russia of providing free legal assistance to the population in the Republic of Tatarstan was conducted the day of free legal assistance in the framework of the Decade of elder people in the Republic of Tatarstan.

On this day in 51 points in each municipal area in the premises of offices and departments of social security administrations and multifunctional centers Tatarstan regional branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia jointly with the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Chamber of Notaries of the Republic of Tatarstan organized a reception of citizens. Reception of citizens was conducted through an open day from 9.00 to 15.00 hours. (in rural areas - from 8.00 am to 14.00 pm.) without a break in shifts with the composition of consultants.

Organization and carrying out of the day of the free legal assistance was covered by media.

By the end of the reception of the day in Tatarstan 457 people received qualified legal assistance. The most active visitors, who talked to a lawyer and a notary public, were citizens of Nab.Chelny - 67 people., Bugulma - 42 people., Sabinsky area - 34 people., Nizhnekamsk - 29 people., Almetyevsk - 23 people.

The most common questions which were asked is the questions of the use of social services, social support measures for the elderly, including living in nursing homes for the elderly and disabled. Following issues concerning the old people – providing non-working pensioners with sanatorium vouchers, hereditary issues, in particular inheritance of matrimonial share, issues of registration of various types endowments, the provision of various benefits, housing, social security issues, land issues and the issues of the procedural law.
