Laying flowers at the monument to G.R.Derzhavin - the first Minister of justice of Russia

Today, on the day of formation of the bodies of justice, the minister of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan L.Yu.Gluhova and the head of the Department of ministry of justice of the Republic of Tatarstan V.N.Demidov laid flowers at the monument to Derzhavin in Kazan Lyadsky garden.
On 8th of September, 1802 by Manifest of the Russian Emperor Alexander I «On the establishment of the ministries" was established by the Ministry of justice of Russia, which had been entrusted with the preparation of legislation, the management of the courts and the prosecutor's office. The Ministry of justice from the first days of its formation gave great importance to the improvement of the Russian legislation.
The same manifest of the Government of the Russian Empire was the post of Minister of justice - general prosecutor of the Russian Empire, which occupied a prominent Russian poet and statesman Gavril Romanovich Derzhavin.
Monument G.R.Derzhavin in Lyadsky garden in Kazan was opened on 3rd of December, 2003. It is a reproduction of the monument, which existed in 1846-1932 years: first monument adorned the courtyard of the Kazan university, then - the front area of the city of Kazan.
