Russian Day of legal assistance to children

On 20th of November, 2015 in the Republic of Tatarstan held events in the nationwide Day of legal assistance to children, conducted by the decision of the Government commission on the implementation of the Federal Law "On free legal aid in the Russian Federation."

The purpose of the nationwide Day of legal assistance to children is to provide free legal assistance to target groups of this event - orphans; children left without parental care; persons of orphans and children left without parental care; and also their legal representatives; persons wishing to take on the education of the child in his family, left without parental care, if they are applying for free legal assistance on issues related to the placement of the child in the family; adoptive parents, if they are applying for free legal assistance on questions related to the placement of the child in foster care; children with disabilities and their parents, and also the introduction of these categories of citizens with rights and responsibilities of children, parents, guardians and legal education on topical questions of a legal nature.

On this day in all municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan held lectures and seminars on children's rights, the legal aspects of custody and parent-child relationship, and also measures to provide free legal aid to the specified target groups.

The country had more than 145 counseling centers, in which more than 30 thousand people were able to get expert legal advice on the protection of rights, education of children, prevention of child abandonment. For the citizens of the republic on this day was organized by the work of telephone "hot" lines in the municipalities in the protection of children's rights. In addition, as part of the nationwide Day of legal assistance to children in schools had a legal education lessons, children receive answers to questions relating to the grounds to attract minors accountable for wrongdoing, the employment of minors in the summer, the education of children with disabilities and others. Many municipalities have been carried out visits of mobile teams of specialists in village settlements to provide legal assistance to the target groups of the day.
