Appeal of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia to the workers of the country
For more than a year, Russia has been living and working in a pandemic. We have overcome not only several waves of a new viral infection. We defeated the psychosis that threatened to engulf the entire society, paralyzing the will of people. The threat of hiding in apartments for the sake of self-preservation no longer scares citizens.
The actions of the President and the Government helped the economy to stay afloat. The labor market is recovering, enterprises have started working at full capacity again.
But the return of confidence should not grow into self-confidence. The virus changes its forms and tries to damage us again.
Russian biologists have developed and produce vaccines that provide real help to people, help to avoid the disease or mitigate its severity. Vaccinations help to form a collective immunity, which should reduce the harmful damage of the virus. But the success of the fight against it is possible only with our common efforts. Now Russian medical institutions provide an opportunity to get vaccinated for free - an opportunity that citizens of many other countries are deprived of.
Today it is our duty to help ourselves and the country. It is necessary to listen not to gossip from the alley, but to medical specialists, scientists who speak the language of facts: salvation from the virus is mass vaccination, and today it is lower in our country than in other countries.
Trade unions in Russia protect the health of workers. Our deceased comrades are no longer up to fighting for higher wages and decent working conditions.
