Today, a mini-football tournament was held in honor of the memory of the heroes and the legendary football match in besieged Leningrad.
Recall that the winter of 1941-1942 was the first of the terrible winters for Leningrad, and Nazi propaganda tried its best to convince everyone that Leningrad was the city of the dead. The football match was especially important in order to maintain the desire to fight for life among the inhabitants of the city, exhausted by hunger and wounded by shells. With this game, the players showed the whole country that the city is alive!
Today's tournament is a tribute to the resilience and heroism of the entire Soviet people in that terrible war. The organizer of the football match was the UFSSP of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Based on the results of the games played, the team of the Ministry of Justice took the honorable III place!
