A joint meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan and the Public Council under the State Committee of Tatarstan on Archival Affairs chaired by Anas Gataullin took place today. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Archival Affairs Gulnara Gabdrakhmanova and Chairman of the Public Council at the State Committee of Tatarstan on Archival Affairs Rafael Shakirzyanov.
During the meeting, an agreement on cooperation in the field of activities of public councils under the two departments was signed, on the basis of which a general action plan will be developed.
Opening the meeting, Anas Gataullin noted that the departments have a common task – the development and maximum involvement of members of the public to solve problems in the fields of justice and archival affairs.
"The first joint meeting of Public Councils is the beginning of the implementation of the agreement concluded today on cooperation between public councils under the Ministry of Justice and the State Committee of Tatarstan on archival affairs. We have many common points of interaction: This is monitoring issues of social significance for the Republic of Tatarstan, conducting public examinations of draft laws and other regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Tatarstan," the chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Justice said.
The Public Council under the Ministry of Justice has been operating since 2011. During this time, the Public Council held 61 meetings. Initially, the Public Council consisted of 5 people, then in 2013 it became 12, today it is 10 people. Every year, the Council's meetings consider issues in the field of anti-corruption, competitive and procurement procedures for the needs of the Ministry, the organization by the Ministry of free legal aid in the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the execution of state programs of the Republic, the customer of which is the Ministry of Justice.
