Meeting of the Law and Order Committee
The issues of providing free legal assistance by the Notary Chamber of the Republic were discussed today at a meeting of the Law and Order Committee. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin.
In accordance with the republican law on the provision of free legal assistance, notaries have become participants in the state system of free legal assistance since January 1 of this year. Notaries provide consultations and legal support to volunteers, military personnel, including those mobilized, employees of law enforcement units, government officials involved in a special military operation, their family members, and combat veterans.
Notaries also provide numerous benefits to military personnel and their family members. According to the results of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024, 478 citizens were consulted by notaries in legal centers.
The State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan also provides free legal assistance to participants of a special military operation and their family members. In 2024, the Deputy head of the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rafael Giniatullov, held 20 receptions of citizens in the Tatarstan branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, during which more than 130 citizens were received.
