Tatarstan makes a serious contribution to ensuring the defense capability and security of the state», - he noted.

Families of participants in the special military operation are provided with federal, regional and municipal support measures, as well as targeted assistance. The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan provides methodological assistance to local governments in adopting regulatory legal acts on measures to support special operation participants and their families. As of January 1, 2025, 2,560 such municipal acts were adopted. Among them, for example, one-time payments, tax exemptions, provision of hot meals in educational institutions and many other support measures.

The State Law Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan, subordinate to the Ministry of Justice, actively interacts with the «Defenders of the Fatherland» fund within the framework of a cooperation agreement to provide free legal assistance to fighters and their families.

Recalling that 2025 has been declared the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland and the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in the country and in the republic, Rustem Zagidullin emphasized: «It is extremely important to provide maximum care to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, participants of the SMO and their families, as well as to control the provision of all social support measures».
