The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan held an enlarged meeting of the Commission on combating corruption

The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted an extended meeting of the Commission on combating corruption, which was held by Minister Rustem Zagidullin. The event was attended by representatives of the public council under the Ministry, heads of subordinate organizations, as well as invited representatives of law enforcement agencies of the Republic.

The agenda included nine issues, among which special attention was paid to the analytical review of the implementation of anti-corruption measures in public authorities and local self-government bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014. The review was prepared by the Anticorruption Policy Department.

Sergey Brodsky, responsible for the work on prevention of corruption and other offenses in the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan, noted that the main document defining the planned activities to prevent corruption in the Republic is the state program «Implementation of anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Tatarstan».

He also reported that in 2024, 9.6% of the 3,000 citizens surveyed had encountered corrupt situations in the last year. This value has significantly decreased by more than two times compared to 2021. Law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Tatarstan detected 1,104 crimes of corruption, while in 2023 there were 1,196 such crimes.

At the meeting of the Commission also discussed the issue of implementation of measures of the Ministry's program for the implementation of anti-corruption policy in 2024. According to Sergei Brodsky, all indicators of the program this year were fulfilled.

Following the results of the meeting Rustem Zagidullin instructed to bring to the state civil servants of the Ministry methodological recommendations on the issues of submission of information on income, expenses, property and property obligations, as well as on filling out the appropriate form of the certificate in 2025. For this purpose, a seminar will be held to train the employees.

In addition, it was decided to use the analytical review of the implementation of anti-corruption measures in public authorities and local self-government bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan as a basis for the work on corruption prevention in the Ministry in 2025.
