The Minister of Justice of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin and the head of the State Legal Bureau of the Republic Mars Fatkullin took part in a conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Institute of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the republic. The participants discussed modern trends in the protection of citizens' rights, current problems and development prospects.
During the event, it was noted that the system of working with citizens' appeals and legal education of the population is functioning effectively in the republic. On behalf of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, special attention is paid to comprehensive support for participants in the special military operation and their family members, including the provision of free legal assistance.
For example, in the first quarter of this year, free legal consultations were provided to 532 military personnel, the majority - 441 people - applied to the State Legal Bureau of the Republic of Tatarstan.
A separate session was devoted to issues of increasing the legal literacy of the population. Various methods of informing citizens about their rights and ways to protect them were considered, among which an important place is occupied by classes of the School of legal knowledge. Every year, the Ministry of Justice and the State Legal Bureau of Tatarstan take part in the classes.
The conference was attended by human rights commissioners from 44 regions of Russia and the Republic of Abkhazia.
