The draft law aimed at improving legal regulation in the sphere of support for artisans was considered at the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan at a meeting of the working group of the Interdepartmental coordination committee on legal issues. The document provides for the exemption of handicrafts from mandatory labeling, which will significantly simplify the work of folk craftsmen.
The draft law was prepared on the instructions of the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and implements the provisions of federal legislation, which gives regions the right to independently determine the types of craft activities that require special support.
According to the document, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan will receive the authority to approve a list of types of craft activities, and the authorized body will develop a list of products of artisans' labor that are not subject to mandatory labeling.
«The implementation of these measures will create a legal basis for supporting the craft sector of small and medium-sized businesses, reduce the administrative burden on artisans and will contribute to the preservation and development of traditional crafts in the Republic of Tatarstan», - they noted at the meeting.
