5 August 2025, Tuesday

The issue of amending federal legislation to significantly increase liability for repeated violations of fishing rules was considered today at a meeting of the working group of the Interdepartmental Coordination Committee on Legal Issues at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan.

«This measure will increase the effectiveness of state control over compliance with fishing rules, ensure effective prevention of repeated violations and will facilitate compliance with the restrictions established by law», - they noted at the meeting.

According to the proposed amendments, repeated violation of fishing rules within a year will entail a fine for citizens from 5 to 6 thousand rubles, for officials - from 30 to 50 thousand rubles, and for legal entities - from 200 to 400 thousand rubles. In addition to the fine, violators also face confiscation of the vessel and other equipment for the extraction of aquatic biological resources.

The current version of the law does not have a gradation of punishment for primary and repeated violations.
