Today, a round table dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the justice of the peace in the Republic of Tatarstan was held in the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, was attended by Chairman of the State Council of the Republic Farid Mukhametshin, Chief Federal Inspector for the Republic of Tatarstan Viktor Demidov, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Gilmutdinov, as well as current justice of the peace, including those who stood at the origins of the creation of the institute. The round table was chaired by the Minister of Justice of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin.
Opening the meeting, Farid Mukhametshin conveyed to the participants of the round table the words of greeting from the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. «The Institute of justice of the peace, revived in our republic a quarter of a century ago, has become the most important link in the state structure for ensuring the constitutional right of citizens to judicial protection, - Rustam Nurgalievich said in his greeting. – Its successful establishment and development is a vivid example of the fruitful implementation of the federal judicial reform. I am grateful to you for your conscientious work and contribution to the development of the judicial system. May your activities continue to serve the triumph of justice and the rule of law». Rais expressed special words of gratitude to the veterans who stood at the origins of the world justice.
The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin made a detailed report on the establishment, development and improvement of the Institute of justice of the peace in Tatarstan. He emphasized that serious investments had been made in the justice of the peace system over 25 years. The material and technical base of judicial districts has improved. Their number has significantly increased from 168 in 2000 to 190 in 2025. One of the integral elements of modern life has become the use of digital solutions for interaction between government bodies and residents. According to the minister, justice of the peace are no exception.
«Today, you can find the required court district on the website of justice of the peace at your address, make an appointment with a judge through the republican portal of public services, receive summonses via SMS, and documents in your personal account on Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services, - said Rustem Zagidullin. One of the key projects in the field of digitalization has become the ability to submit documents to justices of the peace electronically. This is convenient for citizens, 24/7 without leaving home, you can interact with the court».
The Minister recalled that an important impetus for the introduction of electronic justice in the republic was 2022, declared the Year of Digitalization by the Rais of the Republic Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov. Rustem Ildusovich emphasized that the number of users is growing every year. If in 2023 90 thousand documents were submitted electronically, then in 2024 - more than 142 thousand.
In recent years, the electronic document flow of justice of the peace has been significantly expanded: interaction with the bailiff service has been established - more than 177 thousand documents were transferred electronically in 2024, which is 83% more than in 2023. In 2025, electronic interaction was established with the Federal Tax Service, Rosreestr and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which will ensure the digital exchange of about 50 thousand cases annually.
Concluding his speech, the minister noted that digitalization makes justice more accessible, but the value of the system is created by people. The effectiveness of the justice of the peace is confirmed by the timely and high-quality consideration of cases, which ensures the protection of citizens' rights and the maintenance of law and order.
Over 25 years, the justice of the peace in Tatarstan has formed as a reliable system for resolving conflicts and restoring justice. The Minister expressed gratitude to the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov for his support in improving the conditions of the court districts, to the veterans of the judicial system for laying the foundation, and to the employees of the offices of justice of the peace, whose responsible work ensures the smooth functioning of the entire system.
The round table ended with a ceremonial award ceremony, during which the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin and the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Zagidullin presented state awards and letters of gratitude. A total of 30 employees of the Institute of justice of the peace were recognized.
