Tatarstan's justices of the peace are switching to digital interaction with government agencies

22 October 2025, Wednesday

At a meeting of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan, the results of implementing electronic requests in the work of justices of the peace courts were presented. This has reduced paperwork and expedited the receipt of information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rosreestr and the Federal Tax Service.

Deputy Minister of Justice Marat Nizamiyev, delivering the keynote address, emphasized the importance of the upgrade of the «Justices of the Peace» software package completed in August.

«The completed modernization of the software package has automated the process of exchanging data with key government agencies. Previously, approximately 43 000 requests were sent by mail annually. Today, we can see a significant reduction in the time it takes to receive information while simultaneously increasing the level of confidentiality», - Nizamiyev noted.

According to data presented at the meeting, since the implementation of the electronic interaction system in August of this year, justices of the peace in Tatarstan have sent 700 electronic requests, including 385 to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, 230 to Rosreestr and 85 to the Federal Tax Service.

At the same time, the Deputy Minister drew attention to problematic areas in the current work. «According to analytics provided by the Federal Tax Service of Russia, over 100 requests submitted in paper format were recorded for September 2025, despite the possibility of receiving them electronically», - said Marat Nizamiyev. He also specified that the problem affects certain judicial districts in the Sovetsky and Novo-Savinovsky districts of Kazan, as well as judicial districts in Chistopol and the Kirovsky district. «It is necessary to more actively use electronic services to reduce mutual costs and cut postal expenses», - the Deputy Minister emphasized.

The connection of justices of the peace to the Unified federal information register of the population (URP) was a significant achievement.

«The October decision of the Judicial department under the Supreme Court of Russia to implement digital interaction between courts and the URP is a significant step forward. Now justices of the peace can obtain over 30 types of up-to-date information about citizens with a single request, including information previously unavailable electronically», - the Deputy Minister emphasized.

In conclusion, Marat Nizamiyev expressed gratitude to all his colleagues for their fruitful collaboration. «I would like to express special gratitude to the staff of justices of the peace and to the judges for their difficult, but crucial work. Your work requires the highest professionalism, perseverance, and wisdom», - the Deputy Minister noted.

He emphasized, that the Ministry faces important strategic tasks to improve the logistical and organizational support for justices of the peace and that these tasks can only be achieved through the joint and coordinated efforts of all stakeholders.
