New in legislation about local self government

By Law of the Republic of Tatarstan on 29th of September, 2016 № 75-LRT were made changes in the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan from 28th of July, 2004 № 45-LRT "About local self-government in the Republic of Tatarstan"

Changes have been made in articles 15.1, 16.1 and 17.1 of the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan "On Local self-government in the Republic of Tatarstan".

According to the changes in the local authorities of urban and rural settlements, municipal districts and urban districts are granted the right to carry out activities in the field of crime prevention, provided by the Federal law from 23th of June, 2016 № 182-FL "On the basis of the system of crime prevention in the Russian Federation."

Among them:

1) the adoption of municipal regulations and, in particular, municipal programs in the field of crime prevention;

2) the establishment of coordinating bodies in the field of crime prevention;

3) adoption of measures to eliminate the causes and conditions conducive to the commission of offenses;

4) ensuring interaction of persons involved in crime prevention, in the territory of the municipality;

5) Implementation of crime prevention in the forms of preventive effects;

6) other rights in the field of crime prevention.

The law came into force on 30th of September, 2016.
