On July 16, 2021, the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 48-ZRT dated July 16, 2021 "On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan "On Combating Corruption in the Republic of Tatarstan"" (hereinafter – Law No. 48-ZRT) came into force.
Law No. 48-ZRT amended the main measures to ensure the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Tatarstan, the tasks and basic principles of the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
As a result of the changes, the former name of Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 34-ZRT of May 4, 2006 "On Combating Corruption in the Republic of Tatarstan" is set out in a new version: "Programs for the implementation of anti-corruption policy". The names of anti-corruption programs have also changed. In the new version, they are set out as: the state program for the implementation of anti-corruption policy, departmental programs for the implementation of anti-corruption policy, municipal programs for the implementation of anti-corruption policy.
In addition, amendments were made to the articles regulating the issues of anti-corruption monitoring, anti-corruption education and propaganda, reports and information on the implementation of anti-corruption policy measures, organizational foundations of the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Tatarstan, financial support for the implementation of the anti-corruption policy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The above-mentioned changes will require amendments to municipal programs and municipal regulatory legal acts on the organization of anti-corruption expertise.
