About the names of settlements of the Republic of Tatarstan
The Ministry of Justice, under the leadership of Deputy Minister Mukharryam Ibyatov, held a meeting on the elimination of discrepancies in the names of settlements of the Republic of Tatarstan contained in the Register of Administrative-Territorial Units and Settlements in the Republic of Tatarstan and the State Catalog of Geographical Names.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Institute of Language, Literature and Art named after G.Ibragimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as local governments of the Utazinsky and Sarmanovsky municipal districts in an online format.
During the discussion of the issue, options for eliminating the existing discrepancies were voiced and local governments were asked to identify the opinion of the population on the preferred name of the settlements of the village of Malye Urussu, the village of Starye Urussu of the Yutazinsky district and the village of Kyzyl Bakcha of the Sarmanovsky district.
