On January 8, 2022, the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan No. 98-ZRT dated December 27, 2021 "On Amendments to Article 21 of the Land Code of the Republic of Tatarstan" (hereinafter referred to as Law No. 98–ZRT) came into force.

Law No. 98-ZRT provides that land plots in state or municipal ownership are provided once for free use for a period of no more than six years for individual housing construction or personal subsidiary farming to citizens working at their main place of work in urban or rural settlements that are part of municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan: in medical organizations by specialty: "obstetrics", "obstetrics and gynecology", "anesthesiology-resuscitation", "geriatrics", "infectious diseases", "cardiology", "medicine", "neurology", "neonatology", "general medical practice (family medicine)", "oncology", "otorhinolaryngology", "ophthalmology", "pediatrics", "psychiatry", "radiology", "nursing", "emergency medical care", "therapy", "phthisiology", "surgery". Thus, the circle of persons entitled to receive a land plot under Article 21 of the Land Code of the Russian Federation has been expanded.

Law No. 98-ZRT was published on the Official Portal of Legal Information of the Republic of Tatarstan on December 28, 2021.
