The Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan, together with the Department of the Ministry of Russia for Tatarstan, the Chamber of Advocates and the Tatarstan Branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia, continue to provide free legal assistance for refugees from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, as well as Ukraine.
Free reception of residents of the DPR, LPR and Ukraine on legal issues is carried out in temporary accommodation facilities, including using a mobile point for on-site provision of free legal assistance.
During the first days of admission, 88 citizens were consulted on 127 issues. The most frequently received questions about obtaining the status of "Refugee", obtaining citizenship of the Russian Federation, pension provision and employment.
"Legal support for internally displaced persons is extremely important today. We could not stand aside and not help people in need of legal assistance. The protection of human rights is one of the key tasks of the state," Tatarstan Justice Minister Rustem Zagidullin said.
