The right to receive qualified legal assistance is a constitutional guarantee. At the same time, according to the Russian Constitution, in certain cases such assistance is provided free of charge. In Tatarstan every ninth resident has the right to receive free legal aid. This was stated by Ainur Galimov, First Deputy Minister of Justice, speaking at the first session of the School of Legal Knowledge in the 2023-2024 academic year. The topic of the speech was devoted to the activities of the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan and the provision of free legal aid in the republic.
The Ministry is holding video receptions for heads of rural settlements in pursuance of the decision of the final collegium. From June 2021 to August 2023, the events were held in all 872 rural settlements of the Republic, and a new cycle of video receptions has begun.
The most common are such factors as the breadth of discretionary powers and the definition of competence according to the "may" formula.
The World Youth Festival in 2024 will bring together more than 20 thousand young activists from Russia and countries near and far abroad. The festival will be held from March 1 to 7 in Sochi, and then during the week foreign participants will visit the regions of Russia.
Every year in the autumn period, the All-Russian campaign "Save the Forest" is held throughout the country. For five years already, the action, designed to draw the attention of residents to the problem of wildfires, has gathered hundreds of participants. Employees of the Ministry of Justice of Tatarstan also made their contribution to forest restoration.
On the site of the Administrative Commission of Kazan there was held a regular training of executive secretaries of administrative commissions of Alekseevsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Kukmorsky, Leninogorsky, Menzelinsky, Nizhnekamsky, Novosheshminsky, Nurlatsky, Cheremshansky, Chistopolsky and Yutazinsky municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
In order to simplify the interaction of citizens with the courts, the Ministry is digitizing the justice of the peace. Much work has already been done in this direction. Citizens and legal entities have been able to apply to justices of the peace electronically. The results of work to ensure the activities of justices of the peace in 2023 were discussed at the board of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan.
First Deputy Minister of Justice Ainur Galimov presented a bill on amendments to Article 23 of the Republican Law on the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan at a meeting of the Committee on Law and Order. The meeting was held in the State Council under the chairmanship of Shakir Yagudin.
Five employees of the staff of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan were certified for compliance with their positions.
Free legal assistance on the issues of receiving insurance payments for injuries, appealing against the conclusions of military medical commissions and providing measures of state support was provided to participants of the special military operation.
