Justice is administered in the Republic by 190 justices of the peace, distributed by judicial districts. Justices of the peace are independent and subject only to the Constitution and the law. The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan controls the work of the apparatuses of justices of the peace in terms of logistical, organizational, legal and financial support.
